Philosophy: “I want to use all of the most up to date training techniques, technology and information available, as well as use my own learning and experience I have gained through 30 years of competitive cycling, to help other athletes grow and push themselves farther and to achieve goals they never previously imagined they could achieve. Then I want to take that athlete’s new found strength and confidence to help push them to go even further. Lastly, I always want to continue my learning and education even as I help other athletes continue theirs.”
Chris first started competitive cycling at the age of 16 on a junior French club team VeloClub Rethelois while an exchange student to France. He has since competed as a member of the University of Wyoming Cycling Team, Schwab Cycles Cycling Team and now races for Natural Grocers Cycling Team (formerly Chippers, then Vitamin Cottage) since 1999. Chris’s racing experience range from racing mountain, track, cyclo-cross and road, though now he primarily focuses on road racing and cyclo-cross. Chris is actively involved in the Bicycle Racing Association of Colorado (BRAC) and has, for the last four years, helped coach at the BRAC Junior Road and Junior Cyclo-Cross Camps. Chris has also helped coach at various road and cyclo-cross camps with Coach Joe Standell including a BRAC Men’s Cat IV/Cat V racing Skills clinic last summer.
I have known Coach Joe Standell since our racing days together at the University of Wyoming, so I am especially excited to be a coaching member of Sue and Joe’s Inspired Training Center. I look forward to meeting, knowing and helping all of our athletes, no matter what their level they may be. Furthermore, I would encourage any and all to come up and say hello and tell me how all of us at Inspired Training Center can help further your goals!
